Your tiles were made to be played, loved, and enjoyed for many mahjong nights to come. A little extra care will help keep them looking their best.

CARING FOR YOUR ACRYLIC TILES

The Mahj Studio tiles are made from acrylic. Acrylic gives our tiles their beautiful appearance and finish, but it is also a material that can scratch or develop surface marks through normal handling and play.

To help protect your tiles:

Always play on a soft surface. We recommend using a mahjong mat rather than playing directly on wood, stone, concrete, or other hard surfaces.
Avoid sliding or dragging your tiles across rough or abrasive surfaces. Pick them up whenever possible.
Store your tiles carefully when they are not in use. Avoid storing them loosely with hard or sharp objects.
Keep away from excessive heat and prolonged direct sunlight.
Avoid harsh chemicals, alcohol, acetone, and abrasive cleaning products.

CLEANING YOUR TILES

For everyday cleaning, gently wipe your tiles with a soft microfiber cloth.

If needed, lightly dampen the cloth with water and gently wipe the surface. Dry immediately with a clean, soft cloth.

Do not soak or submerge your tiles in water.

A NOTE ABOUT SCRATCHES

Because our tiles are made from acrylic, minor scratches and surface marks can naturally occur with regular play and handling. This is a characteristic of the material and does not necessarily indicate a manufacturing defect.

Using a mahjong mat and handling your tiles with care can significantly reduce scratching and help preserve their finish.

NATURAL PRODUCT VARIATIONS

Each set goes through a detailed manufacturing and finishing process. Slight variations may occur between individual tiles and sets, including differences in:

Color
Printing or engraving
Alignment
Finish
Dimensions
Minor surface marks

Small variations that do not affect the use or playability of the tiles are considered normal characteristics of the manufacturing process.

IMPORTANT — PLEASE INSPECT BEFORE BREAKING THE SEAL

We recommend carefully inspecting your package and product before removing or breaking the original product seal.

Once the seal has been broken, removed, or tampered with, the mahjong set is considered opened and is no longer eligible for return or exchange.

If you are considering a return, please do not break the seal and contact The Mahj Studio first.

This return restriction does not prevent you from contacting us if you received an item that is damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing. Please contact us so we can review the issue according to our applicable policies.

We carefully inspect our products before they leave us, but if you believe you received a damaged, defective, incorrect, or missing item, we're here to help.

Please contact The Mahj Studio and include:

Your order number
A brief description of the issue
Clear photos of the affected item
A photo of the full set when applicable
Photos of the packaging and shipping box if the item arrived damaged

Please contact us as soon as possible after receiving your order so we can review the issue.

NORMAL WEAR VS. PRODUCT ISSUES

Scratches, scuffs, or other signs of wear that develop through normal play, handling, improper storage, accidental damage, or contact with hard or abrasive surfaces are not considered manufacturing defects.
